Why Use a
Lighting Control System?
Whether you are in the design phase (link to why be a part of the design
team) of a new project, or considering a lighting retrofit, let Turnkey Lighting
Controls (TLC) Integration increase your energy efficiency and reduce your
operating costs.
TLC Integration will help you satisfy your facility's unique lighting needs
by installing a system to invisibly and effectively manage the lighting
controls. Implementing TLC's Key Elements can substantially reduce both
initial costs of lighting automation systems and ongoing energy usage.
While promoting those savings a lighting control system extends the life of
equipment and improves your facility's overall environment.
TLC Key Elements
Light Harvesting -Utilizes available sunlight thru daylighting
systems to fulfill the light level requirements. Electric light can augment
light levels only when necessary.
Occupancy Sensing -Prevents
the use of electric lighting when a space is unoccupied.
Time-Of-Us e-Utilizes
time of day scheduling for the opportunity to change the lighting level
for different functions. For example a room may be set to provide 50-foot
candles when occupied; however, only 25-foot candles are necessary for unoccupied
or custodial functions.
So-Dark Control -With the use of
a motorized shade and shade control switch, the end user has the ability
to turn off the sunlight when necessary and the TLC Panel can then re-open
the shade when light is required.
Light Level Control -Allows
the TLC System to control the number of activated lamps to meet the predetermined
light level set point when available sunlight is compromised.
Daylighting -A
natural lighting system that brings in full-spectrum, natural daylight to
a building's interior. Provides maximum color perception, enhances object
definition and is easier on the eyes. Daylighting is also cooler, containing
half as much heat per unit of illumination as artificial light sources.
Why Be Part of the Design Team?
